Jannik Sinner’s path looks clear, at least on paper. The defending champion and world number one, carrying 13,450 ranking points, leads the Wimbledon 2026 men’s draw as top seed. Behind him, Alexander Zverev, fresh from his Roland-Garros triumph, sits at number two.
The surprise comes at third. Felix Auger-Aliassime, riding an exceptional season, has reached a career-high world ranking and slots in as third seed. Ben Shelton, seeded fourth, confirms his meteoric rise after three ATP titles in 2026. Alex de Minaur (5th) and Taylor Fritz (6th) round out the top of the draw.
Novak Djokovic, seven-time champion, is only the eighth seed. The Serbian has endured a title-less 2026 season and will need to draw on his vast grass-court experience to mount a deep run.
The most notable absence remains Carlos Alcaraz. Champion in 2023 and 2024, finalist in 2025, the Spaniard is suffering from tenosynovitis in his right wrist sustained at the Barcelona Open in April. Having already missed Madrid, Rome, and Roland-Garros, Alcaraz confirmed his withdrawal from the grass-court swing. «My recovery is going well and I’m feeling much better, but unfortunately I’m still not ready to compete», he stated.
On the women’s side, Aryna Sabalenka heads the draw. Elena Rybakina, the grass-court specialist, is seeded second. Defending champion Iga Swiatek sits third, followed by Jessica Pegula and Mirra Andreeva. Coco Gauff, seeded seventh, will be chasing her first Wimbledon title.
Emma Raducanu, seeded 30th, will carry British hopes after her Queen’s Club triumph. The main draw begins June 29 with a record prize pool of £64.2 million.
